Consul-General Addressed the Opening of the 5th China (Huai’an) International Food Expo
and Attended the 2nd RCEP Roundtable on Food Industry Cooperation
泰国驻沪总领事在第五届 中国（淮安）国际食品博览会上致辞 并出席第二届RCEP食品工业合作圆桌会议
2022年11月10日，泰王国驻上海总领事乐达·普玛女士应邀在江苏淮安举行的第五届中国（淮安）国际食品博览会开幕式上致辞，本届食博会主题继续延续“绿色创新发展•链接食尚生活”。
On 10 November 2022, Ms. Lada Phumas, Consul-General of Thailand in Shanghai, was invited to address the Opening of the 5th China (Huai’an) International Food Expo in Huai’an, Jiangsu, which was held under the theme “Green Innovation and Development, Linking Food to Life”.
乐达总领事在致辞中强调了在食品贸易、生产和工业发展方面开展合作的重要性，并表示泰国将大力支持食博会，并愿意在这方面与中国和其他伙伴合作。她还申明了泰国出口到中国和世界的食品和农产品的高质量，并促进了食品创新和农业技术合作，上述内容与泰国生态-循环-绿色（BCG）经济模式相契合。
In her remarks, Consul-General Lada stressed the importance of cooperation on food trade, production and industrial development, and expressed Thailand’s support to the Expo and readiness to cooperate with China and other partners in this regard. She also ensured of the high quality of Thai food and agricultural products exported to China and the world, as well as promoted cooperation on food innovation and agricultural technology, which is in line with the Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) Economy Model of Thailand.
乐达总领事还与江苏省人民政府副省长方伟先生、中共淮安市委书记、市人大常委会主任陈之常先生、淮安市人民政府市长史志军先生以及江苏省和淮安市的其他领导和龙头企业一起，以及本次重要协办单位之一的中国国际商会（CCOIC）副秘书长共同参加了开幕仪式。
Consul-General Lada also joined Mr. Fang Wei, Vice Governor of Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government, Mr. Chen Zhichang, Secretary of Huai’an Municipal CPC Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of Huai’an Municipal People’s Congress, Mr. Shi Zhijun, Mayor of Huai’an Municipal People’s Government, and other leaders and leading enterprises of Jiangsu and Huai’an, as well as the Deputy Secretary-General of the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC), a main co-sponsor of the Expo, in officially opening the event.

开幕式后，乐达总领事参观了食博会上的相关展览，其中包括了泰国正大集团展位，该展位展示了优质冷冻肉、海鲜、预制食品、各种榴莲产品以及保健和美容食品、营养品和保健品等。
After the opening ceremony, Consul-General Lada had a tour of the exhibitions at the Expo, including the visit to the booths by Charoen Pokphand (CP) Group from Thailand which have displayed high-quality frozen meat, seafood, pre-cooked meals, and various durian products as well as health and beauty food, supplements and health care products.
此外，同日下午，乐达总领事参加了由中国国际商会和东盟-中国中心（ACC）共同举办的RCEP成员国食品工业合作第二次圆桌会议，中共淮安市委副书记赵正兰女士和淮安市人民政府副市长邱华康先生出席了本次圆桌会议。
In addition, on the same day, Consul-General Lada participated in the 2nd Roundtable of RCEP Member States on Food Industry Cooperation, which was co-organized by the CCOIC and the ASEAN - China Center (ACC), and attended by Ms. Zhao Zhenglan, Deputy Secretary of Huai’an Municipal CPC Committee and Mr. Qiu Huakang, Vice Mayor of Huai’an Municipal People’s Government.
圆桌会议上，乐达总领事就与RCEP国家在食品贸易和食品工业方面的合作提出了建议。其中包括加快易腐货物的清关速度，解决非关税壁垒，协调相关努力，增强RCEP与其他自由贸易协定之间以及东盟、亚太经合组织和“一带一路”等相关国际框架之间的协同作用。
At the Roundtable, she proposed suggestions regarding cooperation with RCEP countries on food trade and food industry. They included faster customs clearance of perishable goods, addressing non-tariff barriers, and coordinating relevant efforts and enhancing synergy between RCEP and other FTAs as well as across pertinent international frameworks such as ASEAN, APEC and BRI.
值此机会，乐达总领事还在圆桌会议期间与其他东盟国家和中国东盟商会的代表进行了友好交流，促进了东盟在有效利用RCEP造福该地区方面的合作与团结。
In this occasion, Consul-General Lada also had friendly exchanges with representatives from other ASEAN countries and ASEAN Chambers of Commerce in China on the sidelines of the Roundtable, promoting ASEAN cooperation and solidarity in making the effective use of the RCEP in benefitting the region.
自2018年以来，中国（淮安）国际食品博览会每年在淮安举行，中国国际商会、中国食品工业协会和中国烹饪协会共同主办。这是江苏省唯一举办的食品博览会。自2021以来，RCEP成员国食品工业合作圆桌会议也一直是中国（淮安）国际食品博览会的一部分，旨在促进RCEP国家之间的食品工业贸易和投资合作。
The China (Huai’an) International Food Expo has been held annually in Huai’an since 2018, with the CCOIC, China Food Industry Association and China Cuisine Association as co-hosts. It is the only food expo organized in Jiangsu Province. The Roundtable of RCEP Member States on Food Industry Cooperation has also been part of the China (Huai’an) International Food Expo since 2021, with the objective of promoting trade and investment cooperation in the food industry among RCEP countries.
这是泰王国驻上海总领事馆首次参加中国（淮安）国际食品博览会和RCEP成员国食品工业合作圆桌会议，这是一个农业、食品贸易和食品工业合作的重要平台。总领事女士还借此机会与淮安市的相关领导会见并交流，使得本次访问非常成功。
This was the first time that the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Shanghai participated in the China (Huai’an) International Food Expo and the Roundtable of RCEP Member States on Food Industry Cooperation, which have served as an important platform for cooperation on agriculture, food trade and food industry. The Consul-General also had opportunities to meet and exchange with various leaders of Huai’an, altogether making this visit highly successful.
