On 15 June 2021, Ms. Lada Phumas, Consul-General of Thailand in Shanghai, met with Prof. Dr. Chen Dongxiao, President of Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS), at the SIIS office.

The two sides had in-depth discussion on strengthening cooperation between SIIS and the Consulate-General, as well as further cooperation and linkages between SIIS and think tanks in Thailand, particularly the International Studies Center (ISC), which is the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand’s think tank unit, supporting the Ministry’s track 1.5 and track 2.0 mechanism. Both sides also exchanged experiences and views on regional and international issues of common interest.
