Consul-General Congratulated the 2022 Maritime Silk Road Culture and Tourism Expo in Ningbo, Zhejiang

In her remarks, Consul-General Lada congratulated the organization of this Expo, another important event after the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC). She recognized Ningbo’s strength in maritime transport and economy and its commitment to openness, which allowed Ningbo to better cooperate with Thailand and others, including through the Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) Economy Model, which is a key area of cooperation in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) where President Xi was attending the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting on 18 - 19 November 2022 in Bangkok, Thailand. She also emphasized that cooperation on people-to-people and cultural exchanges is vital in enhancing mutual understanding and appreciation, and informed that Thailand now fully reopens the country to welcome more Chinese and foreign friends.    

The opening ceremony was attended by Ms. Jin Yan, Standing Member and Director of the Publicity Department of the CPC Ningbo Municipal Committee, Mr. Liu Yuzhu, Chairman of the China Foundation for Cultural Heritage Conservation, and representatives from Zhejiang Provincial Department of Publicity and Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism. Foreign representatives from Consulates-General in Shanghai, executives of leading enterprises and renowned figures from the film industry also sent congratulatory video messages to the Expo.
