Secretary-General of EEC of Thailand Enhanced Strategic and Investment Cooperation with YRD

泰国东部经济走廊秘书长推动与长三角的战略和投资合作

2023年7月9日至12日，泰国东部经济走廊 (Eastern Economic Corridor，简称EEC) 办公室秘书长朱拉·苏克马诺普博士率团访问了上海、苏州和杭州。代表团成员包括EEC办公室特别顾问、泰国前驻华大使毕力亚·针蓬阁下、泰国驻上海总领事彬娜·安平乐女士以及EEC办公室代表。

On 9 - 12 July 2023, Dr. Chula Sukmanop, Secretary-General of the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) Office of Thailand, led the EEC delegation to visit Shanghai, Suzhou and Hangzhou. The delegation included H.E. Mr. Piriya Khempon, Special Advisor to the EEC Office and former Ambassador of Thailand to China, Ms. Prinat Apirat, Consul-General of Thailand in Shanghai, and representatives from the EEC Office.

此次访问旨在促进东部经济走廊与长三角之间的战略关系，推进投资、技术和其他实际领域的合作。此行也是为了落实2022年11月巴育总理和习近平主席签署的《泰中关于构建更为稳定、更加繁荣、更可持续命运共同体的联合声明》。

The visit was aimed to promote strategic linkages and advance investment, technological and other practical areas of cooperation between the EEC and the Yangtze River Delta (YRD). This is also to implement the Joint Statement between Thailand and China on Working towards a Thailand - China Community with a Shared Future, as endorsed by Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha and President Xi Jinping in November 2022.

访问期间，苏克马诺普秘书长会见了上海市发改委副主任、长三角区域合作办公室常务副主任阮青先生，共同探讨了泰国东部经济走廊和长三角地区发展的政策与战略，探讨双方更深的协同效应和更具体的合作领域。

During his visit, Secretary-General Sukmanop met with Mr. Ruan Qing, Deputy Director-General of Shanghai Development and Reform Commission and Deputy Director of the YRD Regional Cooperation Office, to discuss policies and strategies in EEC and YRD development and explored greater synergy and more concrete areas of cooperation between EEC and YRD.

苏克马诺普秘书长此行在苏州工业园区会见了瀚川智能的高管、在杭州会见了吉利控股和阿里巴巴集团的高管，以及在上海会见了中国天楹上海办公室的代表，推动了上述企业与EEC的投资和业务合作，涉及了电动汽车、自动化、数字化转型、跨境电子商务以及环境和绿色技术等方面。

Secretary-General Sukmanop also met with executives of Harmontronics Automation Technology in Suzhou Industrial Park, Geely Holding and Alibaba Group in Hangzhou as well as representatives of China Tianying in Shanghai to enhance investment and business cooperation with the EEC, including in EVs, automation, digital transformation, cross-border e-commerce and environmental and green technology.

泰国东部经济走廊是泰国领先的国家经济特区，将推动实现泰国4.0战略。2022年，中国是泰国最大的FDI申请来源国，金额达到23亿美元，其中超过10亿美元来自长三角地区。大约一半的中国投资总额集中在泰国东部经济走廊地区。

The EEC is a leading national special economic development zone in Thailand in driving Thailand 4.0 Strategy.  In 2022, China was the largest source of FDI applications in Thailand at USD 2.3 billion, with over USD 1 billion from the YRD region.  About half of the overall Chinese investment was concentrated in the EEC.
