Consul-General Enhanced Economic Cooperation with CCPIT Zhejiang

泰王国驻沪总领事推进与浙江省贸促会的经济合作

2023年2月9日，泰王国驻上海总领事乐达·普玛女士在总领事馆欢迎并接待了中国国际贸易促进委员会（贸促会）浙江省委员会副会长林炜先生、衢州市贸促会会长郑琳先生一行。总领事馆投资处主任钟宝芬女士、商务处代处长吴翼遥先生共同与会。

On 9 February 2023, Ms. Lada Phumas, Consul-General of Thailand, received Mr. Lin Wei, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Zhejiang Provincial Committee, at the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Shanghai. Mr. Zheng Lin, Chairman of the CCPIT Quzhou Committee as well as Ms. Donlaporn Ajavavarakula, Consul for Investment, and Mr. Nupat Tanvanont, Acting Consul for Commerce, also joined the discussion.

双方十分认同泰国和浙江强有力的经济合作伙伴关系，并表示了共同促进这一双赢伙伴关系的决心。首先，双方可以通过加强双边贸易来实现，包括食品和农产品的贸易，以及在电动汽车和电池、生态-循环-绿色经济模式（BCG）下的相关产业、可再生能源、健康和数字产业等共同感兴趣领域，包括在泰国东部经济走廊（EEC）的投资等。双方表示，十分支持企业代表团的互访，并共同保护双方投资和商务工作的开展，更多地利用双方现有的数字贸易平台，以及双方组织的大型贸易展览会和展览等机会。

Both sides recognized that Thailand and Zhejiang are strong economic partners and expressed joint determination to foster this mutually beneficial partnership. This can be done by enhancing two-way trade, including in food and agriculture products, and investment in areas of common interest such as electric vehicles and batteries, Bio-Circular-Green (BCG)-related industries, renewable energy, health and digital, including at the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) of Thailand. Both sides also supported the exchange of visits of business delegations, protection of investment and businesses of one another, greater use of each other’s digital trade platforms, and major trade fairs and exhibitions organized by each side.

乐达总领事强调，加强泰国与浙江的合作将为泰国总理巴育·占奥查阁下和中国国家主席习近平阁下在2022年11月会晤时宣布的，构建更为稳定、更加繁荣、更可持续的中泰命运共同体奠定坚实的基础。

Consul-General Lada further highlighted that stronger Thailand - Zhejiang cooperation would provide a solid foundation in working towards a Thailand - China Community with a Shared Future for Enhanced Stability, Prosperity and Sustainability, as agreed upon by Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha of Thailand and President Xi Jinping of China in November 2022.

本次讨论是乐达总领事与浙江省人民政府外事办公室副主任陈江风先生在上个月会见时，就泰国和浙江2023年的工作计划和合作交换了具体意见后，十分富有成效的一项工作跟进内容。

This discussion was a productive follow-up to the meeting between Consul-General Lada and Mr. Chen Jiangfeng, Deputy Director-General of the Foreign Affairs Department of Zhejiang Provincial People’s Government, last month where Thailand and Zhejiang exchanged concrete ideas on their work plans and cooperation in 2023.
