H.E. Lada Phumas and BOI Promoted Thailand’s Investment Cooperation with Shanghai and YRD

2023年4月4日，泰王国驻马来西亚大使阁下乐达·普玛女士（前泰王国驻上海总领事）在浦东香格里拉酒店举行的“泰国投资促进新措施：推动新经济，创造新机遇”投资促进推介会上致欢迎词，本次会议由泰国投资促进委员会（BOI）和上海市商务委员会（SCOFCOM）共同组织。
On 4 April 2023, H.E. Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia (former Thai Consul-General in Shanghai), delivered welcoming remarks at an investment promotion seminar entitled “Thailand’s New Investment Promotion Measures: NEW Economy, NEW Opportunities” at Shangri-La Pudong, co-organized by the Board of Investment of Thailand (BOI) and Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce (SCOFCOM).
本次推介会旨在向业界人士提供最新信息，介绍泰国最新的投资促进政策、新的投资机遇，包括在全国各地的各个工业园区的投资机会和新的具体激励投资方案，特别是支持泰国新经济的发展，重点是电动汽车、智能电子、数字、生态-循环-绿色经济、创意产业等，上述产业均为上海和长三角地区十分具有实力且双方都十分感兴趣的产业。
The seminar was to provide updated information on Thailand’s latest investment promotion policy, new investment opportunities, including at various industrial estates across the country, and new concrete incentive packages, especially in support of the development of Thailand’s new economy with emphasis on such areas as EV, smart electronics, digital, Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) Economy and creative industry which are in line with the interest and strength of Shanghai and Yangtze River Delta (YRD).
乐达大使在讲话中强调，泰中密切的关系为加强泰国与中国的全面经济合作奠定了坚实的基础。并提及泰国强劲的经济基础、政府政策的连续性和开放的商业环境。泰王国驻上海总领事馆和泰国官方驻沪机构也重申，愿意促进泰国与上海和长三角地区建立更紧密的经济伙伴关系。
In her remarks, Ambassador Lada highlighted that the close Thailand - China relations have served as a strong foundation for strengthening Thailand’s overall economic cooperation with China. She further ensured of Thailand’s strong economic fundamentals, government policy continuity and open business environment. The readiness of the Royal Thai Consulate-General and Team Thailand in Shanghai to foster Thailand’s closer economic partnership with Shanghai and YRD was also reiterated.
泰国投资促进委员会秘书长Narit Therdsteerasukdi先生、上海市商务委员会副主任朱旖女士、泰国投资促进委员会副秘书长Chanin Khaochan先生，泰国工业区管理局（IEAT）署长Veeris Ammarapala先生在推介会上进一步发言。合众新能源汽车有限公司总裁助理、哪吒汽车（泰国）有限公司总经理王成杰先生也分享了在泰国的相关投资经验。
The seminar was further addressed by Mr. Narit Therdsteerasukdi, Secretary-General of BOI, Ms. Zhu Yi, Deputy Director-General of SCOFCOM, Mr. Chanin Khaochan, Deputy Secretary-General of BOI, and Mr. Veeris Ammarapala, Governor of the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT). Mr. Wang Chengjie, Assistant to President of Hozon New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd. and General Manager of Neta Auto (Thailand) Co., Ltd., also shared relevant investment experiences in Thailand.
此次活动为泰国和中国的政策制定者和商界提供了一个及时的交流、交流和探索潜在合作的机会。泰国投资促进委员会、泰国工业区管理局、盘谷银行、开泰银行和暹罗商业银行也设立了咨询台，分发相关材料并与感兴趣的参与者互动交流。
This event offered a timely opportunity for Thai and Chinese policymakers and business communities to exchange, network and explore potential cooperation. Information stations by BOI, IEAT, Bangkok Bank, Kasikorn Bank and Siam Commercial Bank were also put up to distribute information and interact with interested participants.
推介会前，泰国投资促进委员会秘书长Narit与上海市商务委员会朱副主任讨论了促进泰国和上海之间更具体、更可持续的投资合作的方式方法，以及为今年5月在曼谷举行的上海贸易和投资促进会议做准备。
Prior to the seminar, Secretary-General Narit of BOI had a discussion with Deputy Director-General Zhu of SCOFCOM on ways and means to promote more concrete and sustainable investment cooperation between Thailand and Shanghai as well as preparation for Shanghai’s trade and investment promotion conference in Bangkok in May this year.
在中国新冠肺炎疫情政策放宽后，泰国投资促进委员会在过去三年里首次在中国举办了此次活动。本次活动共有400多人报名参加，其中包括：上海国际贸易促进委员会、上海市工商联合会、中国国际贸易促进委员会上海浦东分会、上海市外国投资促进中心的领导，以及在上海和长三角地区的中泰领军企业代表等。
BOI organized this event for the first time in China over the past three years after the relaxation of COVID-19 control in China.The event was fully subscribed with over 400 participants, including executives of SCOFCOM, Shanghai Federation of Industry and Commerce (SFIC), China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Pudong Sub-council, Shanghai Foreign Investment Development Board (Invest Shanghai), as well as representatives from leading Chinese and Thai enterprises in Shanghai and YRD.
本次研讨会是泰国投资促进委员会于2023年4月2日至8日在上海、杭州、深圳和广州举行的投资路演的一部分。2023年4月2日，乐达大使为泰国投资促进委员会和泰国工业区管理局的领导举行了欢迎晚宴，并就市场机遇、商业和技术趋势以及如何增强泰国、上海和长三角地区之间的协同作用和经济互补性进行了交流。
This seminar is part of the BOI’s investment roadshow in Shanghai, Hangzhou, Shenzhen and Guangzhou from 2 - 8 April 2023. On 2 April 2023, Ambassador Lada hosted dinner for the executives of BOI and IEAT and exchanged on market opportunities, business and technological trends, and how to enhance synergy and economic complementarity between Thailand, Shanghai and YRD.
